Shin splint? For newbie

Just started week 3 and have done 2nd run. Shin on my left leg was painful, not enough to make me want to stop. Any ideas, Choics website says, stop for two weeks until pain subsides, but the pain stops as soon as I stop running so not even sure it is shin splints

It could be just your legs getting used to the running, or perhaps you are landing differently on your left foot or you need new shoes. Ice after each run and try this exercise:

If the pain continues, it would be worthwhile to see your doctor or physio.

Well done in starting and getting to week 3!
