I found week four horrible too, I think it was all the walk-run-walk you have to do.

W5R1 was a breath of fresh air in comparison, and even the music wasn't too bad. (Just like the thing, the run with the best music and you're only supposed to do it once :-) .)

Just get through W4 as best you can, don't go too fast, complete the runs and move on. You're halfway to graduation now!

I've just finished W4R3 and yes, I found it a tough week. I think R1 was tough because it's much more running than I'd done before (16 minutes as opposed to about 10 before). By R3 I was finding it tough because I had to stop-go-stop-go, as Mitts says. Hoping W5 is better!

I guess that you're half way through it by now, how did you find it??

That's a shame, because I really enjoyed week 4. I think I felt as if I was finally getting somewhere! I think the secret is to do what Laura says and pace yourself.

I also felt that it was a useful step-up to week 5, where you really are getting somewhere. It'll be interesting to hear how you find it. Trust the plan! :)

I agree it feels like I'm getting somewhere. My legs feel tired but a lot more muscular than they did, I can't believe I can already run for 16 minutes and even do a sprint finish, and people have been telling me I look good all day after the high I got from running W4R3 this morning. It's all good :)

That's really lovely - that people notice the difference running makes to how you feel! :)

I found the 2nd W4 run really difficult but that was because I ran it with my friend who is super fit so was struggling to keep up with him at the start - by the end I felt like my lungs were going to explode! The third time was just me and the dog and we found it much much easier. Starting w5R1 tonight and looking forward to it but not looking forward to W5R2...I don't believe I could run for 8 mins yet.
