I'm new here but not to COPD

I have Stage 4 COPD and am on O2 24/7. Officially diagnosed about 15 years ago, but managed to keep it at Stage 1 (mild) until about five years ago when a very serious version of FLU tried to kill me off. The short version is I went from late Stage 1 to late Stage 3 in a few short months. It did involve intubation and being kept medically in a coma, and require a LOT of rehab afterwards to learn to walk and write and even eat. But I did survive and I'm glad I did as I would have missed many things with grandkids including new ones. This was before COVID was even heard of but that's affected some that was as well now. Anyway, I live in northern California and try to keep a good attitude. Some days are definitely easier than others. Especially since within the last year I've also been diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer, so it's just another thing to fight. But I've made it to 73 and still pushing forward.

Hi Darrell and welcome to the site, you certainly a fight on your hands but I love your positive attitude. Sorry to hear about the cancer but with your outlook on life and positivity I think it's your conditions that have to fight you.
