Anyone taking doxcycline twice a week for prevention of chest infections

Hi Barney1945, I take Azithromycin 3x weekly to prevent infection. I wouldn't do well with doxy as it gives me diarrhea. Has it worked well for you?

I take Azithromyacin 3 x a week. It works I'm stage IV, group D

Taking Biaxin (clarithromycin) daily for years. Seems to be effective- have had far fewer exacerbations since starting it. BTW, I have stage 4 emphysema.

Long term Antibiotics will cause Cancer, so Hell no! Take Black Seed Oil and Vitamin C or even garlic extract to prevent chest infections!

ido with the hopes of getting rid of an infection I have had for years that none can name, this after 13 years w/ no hospitalization. that is until recently when i had resp failure , ten days in hospital 4 in ICU. I can feel it in my chest now w/ foamy stuff coming up. immateure immune system so at 68 i'm feeling like i may not be around too much longer. luck to you all
