I was just wondering if anyone who has dogs or cats, if the animals make your Copd worse. I have noticed that my Copd has got worse and was just wondering if it was the 2 cats that we got last May.

Going to see the doctor on the 14th to see the results of my breathing test so we will will see.

I don't post very much but I do read the site every day. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site and I just want to thank you all for the information you pass on.

I think you would have to be allergic to them for them to have any affect on your COPD

I started having problems more frequently. I was tested for allergies and discovered I am allergic to cat dander. I also have asthma. I live with two dogs and they do not seem to bother me.

I have end stage copd and have had dogs all my life, they make no difference to my condition

I have COPD (emphysema), I have also lost 2 lung lobes to LC. I have 2 dogs, they have had no effect on my breathing. I have read that having a pet helps keep you active, and they can help reduce stress. Stress can affect your breathing.
