Rembering better days

Today I drove my second youngest son to work he doesn't like to drive but doesn't mind being a passenger. It was a nightmare of a drive my city of Portland state is Oregon has changed so much since I officially moved here in 1973 heard it was because of all the people moving here from California. Anyway it took me quite a while to get downtown even though they have built more bridges three of them are closed so I finally made it across and when I was coming back from dropping him off I remember not that long ago walking across a bridge in fact I used to walk 7 miles now walking to my car is an ordeal I was just reminiscing as I watched people walking over the bridge and wondered if they realized how lucky they were I sure hope so anyway I think it might be time for us to look at a smaller place to live a smaller town getting a little too crowded for me we also have a lot of homeless people here and they just seem to be everywhere I have never seen anything like it in all the years I've been in Portland. I hope everyone is having a good day and will have a better day tomorrow . My son is a tattoo artist and he said they had to chase away a woman who was trying to go to the bathroom on their window. I guess I am becoming my mother and father wishing for the good old days.

I live in the Adirondacks, make rustic furniture, used to hike all over, singing

All the way. Know exactly how you feel. This is the land of the Ironman race, bike, swim, run... was a time I could have done it... Must remain greatful for

What remains, the great beauty of the place. I can still take a walk with my dogs, smell fall in the air...
