I'm glad I found this website.Last month I had blood on my napkin when I wipe. It was always on the paper, not in the poop as far as I could see, and none on the toilet bowl or water.
Then I read that the blood can either be black or red. Then I started seeing black spots in my poop and I couldn't tell if it was blood.
Then I started seeing bright red things in my poop and I couldn't tell if it was food or blood. I went to my doctor and he said it was hemorrhoids. He even did a check an internal check on me and said that he didn't see anything worrying but it appears I have hemorrhoids and I should increase fiber and drink lots of water. And if I was having blood in poop,it will either be red or black and not both and if I was having black blood,i will be in a lot of pain.
That was almost two weeks ago but I am still seeing these red things in my stool and I don't know if it's blood or food.
Does it look like blood?
I have no bloating, no constipation, not losing weight.I have a pain on my left side but that could be from exercise.

I’d definitely request a qFIT if you can. They are these tests you can do at home. They are actually sent out to people aged 56 to 74 years in the post every two years. My parents receive them automatically. Being just 50 this year, I had to ask for one. I was getting very small amounts of blood on tissue after wiping four to five times. Dr. examined me and told me my skin was heavily scratched, had a smell tear in skin and old hemaroids (I can’t spell that word).
See if you can get a test kits. Won’t hurt to do and get results back.
Thank you for posting on Colon Cancer Connected. You've gotten some good advice here. I would definitely get a FIT test which you can do either from home (like Cologuard) or with your doctor. It should give you a good indication on whether that is actually blood you are seeing. It's hard to tell from a picture. I have to increase my fiber as well. I'm using Metamucil gummies and you have to follow the directions about loading.
I do wish you the best in finding out what's going on. let us know what you find out from your FIT test I am also glad to see that you are not ignoring things and are looking for answers. That's the best way to be.👍
Thank you,
