Problems ‘down there’

Hello,

Very strange, awkward question.

For the last few months I have noticed I’m struggling to go to the toilet for a poop. I go once a day, first thing of a morning. And I always feel ‘not quite finished’

Along the corse of this complaint, I have discovered that ‘inside myself’ there is a mucus membrane, that actually feels as though it is completely blocking off my bowel. I’ve tried googling to see if I can find any information, but to no avail.

I was wondering if I could find any suggestions on here. I’m in my early 30’s, not overweight, no health problems. Generally fit and well. No stomach pains, certainly not affecting my appetite, i drink loads and am quite active.

Hoping it doesn’t result in a gp call due to the nature of the problem.

Hi Tealsunset,

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. Sorry to hear you're having this issue. I applaud you in reaching out for information about what's going on.

I know you think your question is awkward, but it's really not. A lot of issues present themselves and then the signs go away. You stated this has been going on for the last few months. And if it's still present, it would definitely not hurt to get it checked out just so you'll have the knowledge of what's going on. It's also good to put your mind at ease.

Please don't feel shy about presenting the details to your GP. Trust me, they've heard it all and need those details to help diagnose the issue.

Other questions would be if similar situations have happened within your family? Is there something hereditary going on?

I was always one to exercise, lift weights, hydrate, eat relatively well😬, and be active. I ignored some signs that I shouldn't have. And I've learned I'm probably not the first one to have an issue.

We do wish you the very best and appreciate you sharing your symptoms. This site deals a lot with symptoms and sharing results. It probably wouldn't hurt to get it checked out. And please keep us informed. Your information will be beneficial to others.
