My urine is clear but tubity but I am so scared that blood in my urine is something really serious please help. Also I had a transvaginal and normal ultrasound down 7 months ago would that have shown bladder cancer down there or no!?

Hi Lj8403,

Thanks for posting with Colon Cancer Connected again. Glad to see you had some blood work done and it was "pretty good" except for the blood in your urine and the off and on pain. What did your doctor say about all that?

Blood in urine is a sign. There are many things that could cause this and your doctor should be able to sort this out for you. It's important to determine the reason for the bleeding because the treatment is determined by the cause. So we need to get to the cause.

I would also suggest you focus on what your doctor is saying from the examinations and investigations that will determine your cause. Did your doctor present "bladder cancer" to you? There is something called Urine cytology which could determine if there are any cancerous or precancerous cells present. Also there is the Cystoscopy which would be procedure to examine the lining of the bladder and the pathway urine takes out of the bladder.

You mentioned you had a transvaginal and normal ultrasound down 7 months ago. It is possible that procedure would detect bladder issues. I would present that question to your doctor. Were you having blood in you urine 7 months ago when you had these procedures?

I am so sorry you are having these worries and anxiety over these issues. Please try be positive and focus on what your doctor is telling you. That is by far your best source of information.

I know googling symptoms opens up a plethora of information and possibilities that may be completely unrelated. When I was fighting cancer, a list of side effects was always presented and some of them were really eye opening. I never focused on them. If I got something, my doctors would address it. I didn't want to over think myself into getting a side effect.

So please please work with your doctors to find the cause of the blood in your urine. Then go from there. There is a definite path to follow and tests to be done to help you out.

Please keep us and everyone informed. As you can see from the responses to your posts, many are interested in your well being. What you find out can potentially help others. And there may be others that have had similar situations. This is why we share.

All the best to you Lj8403. Be positive. Be strong.

Well I don’t see the dr until Tuesday and I am the only one thinking bladder cancer because I googled. Also the blood in the urine maybe be she of my period I have been in my period for the last week. Also when I had all that stuff done 7 months ago the ultrasounds and my pap and all that it all came back good no problems. So I’m not sure if I should be worried about the blood in the urine or not also my Mawmaw has abnormal blood an 3+ in hers but it doesn’t cause concern with her dr so I’m not sure what to think right now. 😭

Ok. More good information. Perhaps getting beyond your period will stop the blood in the urine issue? Definitely bring it up Tuesday with your doctor. Also bring up the pain on your right side and see if you can get a cause for that from your doctor. And it is good that your ultrasound and pap came back showing no problems. Good news.

One question you could ask your Mawmaw is why there's not a concern for her abnormal blood? I'm sure her doctor is aware and for some reason has determined it's not something to be concerned about. That might be good to know.

Here's hoping for good information / results from your Tuesday visit.👍
