I noticed this about a week ago. I'm freaking out and scared to go to the doctor or hospital. It sounds like a lot of you are having the same problem. I'm scared and here for feedback. Thank you all.

Bright red blood is often haemorrhoids, and can be caused by constipation or straining bowel movements, so first please don’t freak out. But definitely do get out to see your doctor. Any bleeding should always be checked out. For everyone- getting health information sooner is always better. My husband has colon cancer. We have now found out being diagnosed early can be very treatable - his doctor told him small polyps can be removed fairly easily during a colonoscopy. Unfortunately my husband ignored his early symptoms- he was someone who thought he wanted to enjoy life and “didn’t want to know” if he had a medical problem. Now he realises that was a mistake. He finally began having severe pain that could no longer go untreated, and that’s when he finally went to the doctor. Something that could have been managed relatively easily a few years ago is now stage 4 colon cancer (also spread to the liver). He’s now had two major surgeries and a lot of chemo. His prognosis is still good and there’s a good chance he will be cancer-free. But it has been a very serious time and very difficult interventions when he realised he could have dodged a lot of this if he had seen his doctor early. So he now encourages people to get to their doctor quickly- an early cancer diagnosis will not ruin your quality of life as many things are treatable early on. However ignoring it will still weigh on your mind and gradually untreated illness will have you suffering more than any treatment. So don’t worry too much but please do get to the doctor.

Fatigue and feeling very unwell, eventually turning to intermittent pain in the abdomen but that was once the tumour was quite large and causing a blockage. He has a family history of cancer and should have been getting checks earlier.
