What are these black specks?

Sorry for the picture. Anyone know what these black specks are in my poop? The picture isn’t that great. And sometimes there are more black specks than what is in this photo. I haven’t eaten anything that would make it so I pass these specks. It’s been going on for a few days now. I recently went to the dr for this painful mass (not a hemorrhoid) on my anus and going poop 5 (small “fluffy” bowel movements) times a day with the constant urge to poop. My family doctor referred me to a colorectal surgeon, but waiting for them to call me so I can make an appointment.
