Probably not but possibly inflammation, no good asking on a forum for a diagnosis you need to see your Dr.
Dear Mojo2176 ,Thank you for posting and I'm sorry to read about your symptoms. bantam12 is right - you need to see a doctor. This forum does not give out medical advice, we share from our experiences, but always encourage people to be evaluated by a trained medical professional.
While some people experience similar symptoms, outcomes can be very different, everyone's body is different and what is "normal" for you may not be normal for someone else.
The jelly that you are referring to - if it is mucus, it is possible that you have an infection, which should not be something you wait on getting medical treatment for.
Many many people come to our forum and post with symptoms and are scared that they have colon cancer (and we understand that fear and it is totally normal to feel that way). But it is important to see a doctor. Many people who were sure that they had colorectal cancer report back to us that they were diagnosed with gastrointestinal diseases, like colitis or Crohn's.
When you experience blood in the stool, the doctor will often perform a DRE (digital rectal exam) where they will both look and feel with their gloved fingers, to see if an any anal fissure (tears in the anus), hemorrhoids, or something else that could be causing the bleeding. Depending on the DRE results, any symptoms you are experiencing, family history, other factors, etc. your doctor will determine if further tests need to be performed.
Please, do reach out to a medical professional. And if you need any encouragement to make that call, we're here for you and many of our caring members of this forum will help give you the boost you need to make that call!
