Hi. That looks like a similar thing I had. Went to a London gastroenterologist and he said I had an external thrombosed haemorrhoid. Does it’s cause you pain ?

Hi feather234 ,Thank you for posting and I'm so sorry to hear about the pain.

Any time you are experiencing extreme pain, it is important to see a medical professional. What is likely a hemorrhoid (but only a doctor can diagnose, we are not able to diagnose), could or could not be related to the pain you are experiencing. A doctor will need to examine you. It is likely that they would perform a DRE (digital rectal exam) and possibly a protoscope to be able to look at your recturm. This is performed in the office and while not exactly "comfortable", most people tolerate that exam pretty well.

We recommend you see a medical professional. If the pain reaches a level that is too much to handle, that's when you need to seek emergency medical care.

Try not to get ahead of a diagnosis before you have one (and not just colorectal cancer, there are numerous conditions that can cause pain in that area.) The best thing you can do now is to see a doctor and be your own health advocate to ensure you get the testing you need to diagnose the cause of your pain.

Please keep us posted and we're here for you!
