Wisdom teeth / possible brain fog.

Hi I'm 20 years old and my wisdom teeth started coming through however they are impacted. Over the last 2 months I've been experiencing really bad brain fog and been finding it hard to do everyday activities even attend work! The contrast in my eyes seems weird and blurred. Im constantly tired. I visited a hospital and they said my top wisdom teeth are catching my cheeks anf have left an ulcer like hole in my cheeks. I then visited a dentisy recently to have a molar tooth extracted they also noticed the gum around my right impacted wisdom tooth was red and it felt sore to touch and my left impacted wisdom tooth was showing signs of decay. They are referring me to a hospital for possible extraction of the wisdom teeth. Do you think the teeth are the cause for the brain fog? The teeth themself are not to painful besides the gum around one of them. Thanks

Hi I too have the brain fog and eye issues personally I think the fog is the CMT but the eye issues maybe the diabetes my eyes get blurry spots and water a lot. I also get that dry eye thing and have too use drops when it happens. I've also noticed that on waking up in the morning I'm very diyatrated even tho I take water for in the night when I wake up. But the brain fog is a real issue as when it happens I feel useless and find it impossible to achieve anything. So if that's what your experiencing I know and understand. How you deal with it tho I'm not sure sorry!. Mighty sound wierd but slapping and massaging the scalp may help it may also be caused by bad sinuses which I also suffer with and drives me mad at times. Your not alone with these issues tho I hear many of us cmtrs complain about it, but no one seems to really understand how difficult it is living with this disease. 💩🤪😉

Hi, Jjam99,

I'm sorry you are having these problems, but are you sure you have found the right forum?

In spite of the name, this is not actually about teeth......CMT is a neurological disease. It is named after the physicians who discovered/identified it, one of whom was called Howard Henry Tooth. I am sure some people with CMT have dental problems in addition to, but not because of the CMT.

I do hope you will find the help and advice you need.
