UPDATE- So I saw my Podiatrist today and he is stumped as to what is going on with my feet. So he is making some referrals to a bigger hospital where they may have some answers. I already have AFOs and he is getting those re evaluated. Now I have read about people stating about the bumbs under their skin is this part of CMT. I have them all over not just in my arms and legs but my back as well and painful to touch.
UPDATE: UPDATE- So I saw my Podiatrist... - Charcot-Marie-Too...
UPDATE
My wife's cousin is a retired podiatrist, he had his own practise. He said that he had never had a patient with CMT.
I used to go for podiatry at a university where students treated you under supervision. Their teacher commented 'What funny feet you have, can I bring my students round to see them' but CMT was never mentioned.
"bumbs under their skin"?
If they are on your back, this is unlikely to be connected with CMT.
They are on my arms legs ECT like if you rub my arm you can feel them
What type of CMT do you have?
Not diagnosed yet but by my genetics probably CMTtype 2e but need to find some to look at my genetics report as me
That doesn't add up. A genetic analysis should give you a definitive answer whether you have CMT or not, it shouldn't be a "maybe"...
Bumps under the skin has nothing to do with CMT.
I have piezogenic papels on the side of my heels, they are swollen, red and painful. Do you mean that by bumps? They are not associated with CMT however are associated by Ehlers Danlos f.e.
I have been asked as bout E.D but I dont have the loose joints but do have most everything else. I do have a new doc now not by choice they moved me from family practice to internal medicine.
