New diagnosis, a bit of a surprise but makes sense with how I’ve been feeling. Getting my head around the watch and wait

Welcome, ThaiGreen, to our very supportive and informative community.
Each of us here with CLL understands what you're going through. Getting your head around 'watch and wait' is a challenge we've all experienced.
If you've not already found them, we have some pinned posts that that will help you to make the most of our site and better understand your diagnosis. They can be found in a list at the right of your screen on a computer or at the bottom of the screen if you're using a mobile phone or tablet device. Alternatively, you can use this link: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...
A good place to start is the post for those who are newly diagnosed with CLL and there's another which contains 30 tips for living well with CLL.
By default, HU posts are set 'unlocked' which means they can be accessed by anyone on the internet (which may be how you found us). If you're posting about your personal situation, you can change that default so your post will only be shared to our 'Community only' rather than with 'anyone'. You can read more about that here: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...
Again, welcome to our community.

Hello ThaiGreen
Welcome to the forum of hope and answers. You will find that we all are on W&W throughout our travels with CLL. W&W starts until you find out if you will need treatment or not need treatment. W&W also occurs after treatment until next treatment or lack there of and so it goes. Blessings.
Watch & Wait seems counterintuitive to all we know generally about cancer prior to our own diagnosis. The more you learn about this disease and the treatments - should help with the anxiety of Watch & Wait (W&W) and the understanding what is happening with you. This is a great site for information and support, as well as CLLSociety.org based in the US but info available to all. Sending the best to you.
👋 You've come to a wonderful group of people here. You'll find support/guidance for your concerns. There's no such thing as a silly question. So, ask away! We are all here to help each other in any way we can.I'm truly sorry you had to join us, but thrilled that you found HealthUnlocked 🙂. Our journeys are all unique but joined by a common thread. I hope your worries lessen as you learn more about CLL and the mega support given here. Best wishes!
