Acala and Obin

After 5 months on Acala twice a day and having just finished my Obin infusions, my lymphocyte count is now 3.6, down from 280 before my treatment began. Obin killed my leukemia cells so fast at the beginning I got hospitalized for 36 hours with TLS as my kidneys were overwhelmed with dead cancer cells. Wanted to share some good news with the group here. I will probably be on a new clinical trial in June to wipe out any remaining cancer with the hope of a very long remission. I will keep everyone posted.

HiGlad to here it's going well. I had the same treatment 4 yrs ago when I was diagnosed at stage 4. I was in Umrd within 250.days. I am now on Acalabeutinib twice a day , monthly bloods stable and 6 monthly Umrd check still holding.

congrats on making it through obin and on the great improvement in your numbers. Am on Acala and halfway through obin myself.

I’m curious you plan on entering a clinical trial next June. Do you know which trial you’ll be on?

I am not sure the trial is public information at present. Will know more next minth. Very new.

Howdy … as a bit of encouragement, I had the same treatment as you which ended in Feb 2023. Since then I have been uMRD and medication free. Hope you experience a long durable remission. I have felt normal since achieving remission and do everything I did before diagnosis. I wish you well.
