I had a urine test which was part of my annual physical. It came back that I had leukocytes in my sample. The number mentioned was 70. I am in Canada so maybe 70 would be measured differently elsewhere. I don’t have a UTI, bladder infection. Is it possible that we could have leukocytes in our urine just because we have CLL to begin with? Has anyone heard of this? I believe Leukocytes can be elevated in urine if you have an infection, a UTI, but I don’t have one according to the test results. Thank you.

Leukocytes found in urine - because of CLL?
I've had blood cells in my urine, they didn't specify as to the type. I neither had an UTI. How's your kidney stone history? Sometimes the move and readjust and not cause a full blown attack, so you don't realize that has happened.
I am in Canada, too. I don’t what 70 indicates, but I do know that leukocytes have showed up in my samples for some time, but at a very low level. They were not quite at a level that would prompt a cystoscopy in my province. My family doctor and oncologist agreed that monitoring them every 6 months is a good idea, and while they are still present, the level has actually decreased since the last test. I wondered if this was somehow related to my CLL, since I have had no UTIs or other infections/symptoms, but neither doctor has offered an opinion on that. At any rate, they don’t seem overly concerned.
Yup!! My doctor said the leukocytes are there to fight bacteria. Apparently they did their job and so there is no infection.
I have had them show up lots of times over the past few years..no one ever commented on that. I assumed it was from the meds killing off the cells and then they leave via the urinary tract?? As long as the docs didn't care, neither did I.
I have for almost ten years kept urine strips around just for periodic tests. I would often show leukocytes w/o any indication of uti, etc., and it would often be gone the next day or so. No nitrites, so tend to ignore unless have symptoms. I do wonder, as has been asked, if the very high presence of leukocytes in our circulation could leak into urine.
