Blood test results are stable

Hello CLL Fellows, Caretakers, and Specialists,

Before seeing Dr. Chen for a follow-up session at Princess Margaret Cancer Hospital in Toronto, my wife underwent a blood test today. From 2020 to March 2024, the quantity of white blood cells and lymphocytes increased linearly with each visit; however, after that, these parameters were quite stable. We have had three visits after March 2024. Comparatively, some indicators such as platelets, HB, and RBC have improved. We hope that things will continue this way since we are happy. I would like to hear from other CLL fellows, caregivers, etc.

Cll is such a strange thing, sometimes for no apparent reason it kind of randomly hibernates for some of us. That’s great news on your wife Sagar, it’s always nice to read someone is doing well.

My cll isnt so much hibernating, rather it’s in a calquence induced coma. Lol, I’ll take it. Sagar, I hope your wife continues to improve, cll can be quite the roller coaster ride.

Hi Sagarcanada,

As the other replies suggest, boring results are what we hope for.

The graphs show my test results since I started treatment with Venetoclax in mid 2016. The variations have no explanations I can connect to the values.

But it does show the importance of tracking Abs Lymph#s and Abs Neut#s separately and ignoring the total WBC.

Nice to see someone else that understands that when a graph has a large range like the lymphs that a log scale should be used.

One doctor showed me my lymphs on a linear scale and declared them to be a flat line after the first IV of Obin on 4&5 of April '23. Never saw the spike at start of cycle 2, it was there, just a little blip.
