Hi, wondering has anyone had any CLL cells , particularly neutrophils, cause an ulcer in their colon!! I’m waiting for results, I’m just wondering if my CLL has infiltrated my colon, or could this be something else. I have been on watch and wait for three years, with no treatment yet!!!!! Thank you

abnormal colonoscopy
Hi Gino23,
I've had thickened walls on my colon and the biopsy showed CLL cells, but why they appear and whether they are part of an immune response or are causing problems is not well understood.
There is another NHL called MALT Lymphoma that can cause issues almost any where we have a mucus membrane surface. see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MALT_...
A biopsy will certainly show CLL cells, but whether those cells are innocent bystanders or involved in causing the issue is difficult to determine. This often requires the attention from a top CLL expert or Lymphoma specialist to dig into the cause and the effect and if the CLL cells are only at the scene without a clear involvement.

Gino23, I had prostate TURP earlier this year and they reported CLL in my pathology report. The CLL specialist said that is not unusual as the cells are obviously circulating throughout the body.
