Hi,
I agree with most of these comments on here that the enlargement of your spleen is an indication perhaps that you are ready for some form of treatment, not removal.
I had chemotherapy in 2020 and my spleen was massive. After a treatment cycle of FCR for 6 months and neutropenia sepsis for 10 days my course of treatment was stopped as the chemotherapy had had the desired effect and my oncologist advised it would have been dangerous for us to continue more treatment at this point as it would have made me even more poorly. This treatment reduced the size of my spleen back to normal.
I have done well and I’m now approaching treatment again in possibly 25/26. I swim regularly, keep active, work full time and study with OU . I have a dog so walk regularly and keep a very busy life. It’s taken a long time for me to get my head around CLL and living life long with blood cancer. I try hard not to let it define me.
I don’t see a reason for them to take your spleen it should be a last resort as everyone else has said you need it for as long as able.
Hope this helps !
A second opinion would be useful.
Best
