Hi all. Been a bit quiet recently as I have had some issues. I had what I thought was heartburn a couple of weeks ago along with shortness of breath. After tests anECG and chest x-ray it is probable that I had a silent heart attack. Being monitored by the hospital. I have been exhausted recently so had a consultation with my haematologist. I have had a call today from my macmillan nurse and I am to have four rounds of Rituximab starting on Monday as my bloods counts are not good. CT scan also booked. Not looking forward to this but needs must. Love and strength to all.

Hi Jack,
I am so sorry to hear about all you have been through. The heart attack must have come as quite a shock. Wishing you the very best of luck with your infusion on Monday.

Nan
Thank you. Indeed a bolt out of the blue. Been feeling unwell for some time but at least something is being done now.
Oh I am sorry to hear this, sending you best wishes and hope you feel better very soon.
You certainly are on quite the bumpy road for the time being. I pray you get through this as quickly as possible. May God give you all the strength you need to do so. May he also bring healing quickly to your body. May good times return in abundance in your life. That's my prayer for you!
oh Jack, that isnt good news for the moment. Are you still working too? It’s a bit if a tough sea you are on at the moment. Do keep in touch with us all and let us know how you are going. Wishing you all the luck in the world!

Sorry to hear you're having new problems jacks, hopefully they will be quickly dealt with, God bless, Terry
So sorry to hear about your heart attack, are they starting you on treatment for that? I too suffered a heart attack last year( angioplasty and 2 stents later and I’m doing good now) we also have a forum on HU from the BHF which you may find useful. I wish you well Jack.
Dave.
I am sorry to hear this Jacks and of course wishing you well. I have followed your journey from when you joined the community and was hoping that things were getting better for you. This must have been quite a blow, but as you say at least now you know what was causing those symptoms. Stay as strong as you always have, and if you feel up to it keep us posted.
As always best wishes

Sorry for the mistype which I have now corrected.
Madame Fate deals another one, eh Jack. I feel for you mate. At least the medics have got this in their sights, poised to act as necessary.
I hope that R treatment does the trick.
Best wishes.
Sorry to hear this Jacks. You’ve been under such emotional stress lately that I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t implicated.
Good luck with the R and hope life brightens for you soon. I’m sure you’re now reviewing whether you can continue with your job.
Best wishes,
Newdawn
Oh so sorry that you are struggling right now. Hopefully things will improve and that the infusions help your blood counts. Stay strong, God bless
That is not the news you want to hear. I'm sorry you're dealing with this Jacks. I hope you begin to feel better soon and thank you for keeping us updated.
Sorry to hear you are having a rough time. It's good there is a plan in place going forward to get you well again,
sorry to hear Jacks, as has been said, your heart can strengthen over time if not too much damage done. You deserve for them to look at your heart to see if a stent could be placed which could restore healthy blood flow to the part of your heart muscle that might be compromised. It could make a world of difference. Heart medication could help but carries fatigue side effects whilst not solving blood flow issue.
Best of luck, press the docs if you must.
Ron
Hi Jacks, you are now in good hands and being looked after. Though your journey has been tough, you will soon come out a winner. Wishing you the very best of care and a cheerful return to normal.

I am sorry to hear the news, but glad to hear you are being looked after.
So sorry to hear about this. How frightening it must have been for you. I'm glad you're being taken care of now and that the medics can get you back on track before too long.

Sorry to hear that... hope the rituximab works out fine and also any treatment which may be given for the heart condition.
Jack - Hopefully your R infusions will go smoothly and then your heart issues can be addressed. I will keep you in my thoughts. Please post when you can to let us know how you are doing.
Wow! Who would have known....or, who should have known. It must have been frightening getting the diagnosis. I'm glad you at least know and have people watching you and testing. I had a car accident (hit a telephone pole, no people involved thank God) turns out it was either extremely critical low blood sodium caused by ehrlichia tick bite (😳) or I think it was a stroke based on similar symptoms when I had my first one in 2015. Still haven't gotten tests cos doctors office is clueless. Either way, I had sent copies of my labs to ALL of my doctors prior to accident and no one saw a pattern. Count yourself lucky that you not only were "diagnosed" but they are being proactive. It's taking me 5 weeks to get after-hospital check ups!! By the way I'm in the good ole USA 😕
I'm sorry to hear that you have another hurdle to get over Jacks. You have has so many and I know that you must be ready to get back to a good, healthy life.
I am having a CT of my heart tomorrow as I have had some trouble catching my breath even when just bending over to tie my shoe. Going up a flight of stairs really gets to me. My doctor is being extra cautious just in case. She is also sending me to pulmonology.
Get well soon Jacks!
Chris
Hope tomorrows tests are clear Chris. I am having tests for lung function now. What a bunch of crocks we are.
Jacks I hope you feel better soon. So concerning to have undiagnosed heart issues.
Colette
Hi Colette, yes we are a bunch of crocks... I hope that your test is clear as well.
