Fundamentally, what are you?

Ever wondered what you're made of, at the level of the individual cell and its component parts? And, those parts being "dead", what does it take for cells to function and give life to an organism like you?

This 10 minute animation answers such questions brilliantly, in terms that non-biologists like me can understand. The facts are mind-boggling nonetheless.

Hello! I wish I knew about this learning tool back when I was teaching 5th grade. My students were endlessly fascinated by studying the human body. We are all indeed marvelous creations. Thank you for sharing with us. Onwards! Carolyn

Ah yes. Animations can convey the scale of things, the essence of processes and their complexity really well. I don't miss the dry text and line drawings in musty textbooks.
