Hi Anthony,

Your post is light on detail and also left open to be lifted onto the net so if that’s your real name, I’d suggest restricting it to the community.

Your profile suggests your weekly alcohol intake is equivalent to 40 units a week (30 units from 15 pints of beer & bottle of red wine which is 10). U.K. recommended guidelines are a maximum of 14 units spread over at least 3 days. That’s for a non CLL patient and not on treatment.

However, we have to live and in truth I did drink alcohol very moderately whilst on Venetoclax. It was certainly under the 14 units and often none at all.

Obviously you need the advice of your medical team but whilst on treatment, I’d be surprised if they didn’t suggest moderating your intake. Our bodies have a hard job processing cytotoxic drugs without throwing alcohol into the mix but that doesn’t mean total abstinence (until there’s compelling individual medical reasons) and I can’t advise on that,

Good luck!

If someone has to ask if too much alcohol is too much, question has been answered lol.

Precisely. The fact that your bio lists your alcohol consumption demonstrates that you are aleady aware of an issue. You know it's time to stop.
