Hi everyone, I had shingles six months ago, leaving me with nerve problems in my left leg. I have received an appointment for a lumbar puncture which has left me a bit worried, is this because they think something is going on with the CLL in my spine? I can't ask the specialist as I have no follow-up appointment. Has anyone had this procedure? If so, how was it?

Lumbar injection after shingles CLL
Hi TOMMOHOODIE,
I had an LP last year, to check for possible CLL infiltration (due to eye trouble). Came out negative.
It was weird! I was numbed-up, but given no anxiety meds.
Didn't hurt at all, but the doctor did graze a nerve a couple times which caused bizarre "shooting" sensations down my legs. Hardest part was lying still, as I was uncomfortable on the hard metal table.
I did have a low-pressure headache afterwards, lasted several days, and the injection site was swollen (but not red or warm or painful) like a lipoma for several weeks. Thought it would never go away, but it did.
Ask follow-ups of me if you have any!
--Dave!
Dave, what eye trouble did you have? I have had a vitreous detachment in both eyes? Kenny.
Tough that Dave hope it resolves itself.
