I’ve been on Venetoclax for 14 months now and would just like to say that this drug has done wonders for me. My bloods have not been this good in 6 years. I have suffered very few side effects and would recommend it to anyone due to start treatment. As you can see my bloods are virtually all at normal levels now.

Good one. I also was on V for 2 years and my blood tests have been normal now for 18 months

How much longer do you anticipate you need to be on V…? Thanks 🙏

I love reading about your positive Venetoclax experience! So elated for you. I find it has been much better for me than Imbruvica was, side effects wise.

I’ve been taking Venetoclax (half dose since November 2018) for 4.5 years now and never felt better!

All the best to you.

Me too - 16 months in - mostly OK but a struggle to keep Neutrophils above 1.0 let alone 2-8. Which reminds me - G-CSF jab due this morning (weekly self- administered)

Such great and encouraging news! I totally agree with your post; my bloods are also in great shape after 16 months on this very same medication. So happy for you and can’t wait for the 2 year mark to see what’s next for us. All the best!!

this is wonderful news! Hope it’ll last! - I’m currently on Calquence but the side effects are too bad. My doc wants me to goon Venetoclax plus Obituzuman, but said I would only need to take it for 6 month. But all the posts here mention much longer durations.

Hi Mumu1, I am on Venetoclax for 2 years. I think that is the protocol here in the UK. Not sure why they only want you to take it for only 6 months 🤔

I was under the impression that - unlike Ibrutinib and Alcalibrutinib - Venetoclax is only needed for a limited time (typically 1 year as far as I know). I never heard of just 6 months either.

Thank you very much for your reply!

My Dr (in USA) just gave me info about Venetoclax. He indicated on it for one year, once daily and ramp up after 5 weeks plus 6 months of IV treatment. Wishing you great results!

On my second month now with Venetoclax and my bloodwork is all going in the right direction! Can keep side effects at bay by eating high fat meal (which I love!) with it! Glad you are doing well, too!
