just FYI, one week ago I had a booster with Moderna’s new dual variant vaccine. Felt awful for one day then just fine. However around 36 hours later a node appeared under my arm where I got the jab the size of a golf ball!
Us folks don’t like sudden node growth! Apparently it’s common where the Jab is given and I’m pleased to say just over a week later the node seems to be back to normal. Don’t be alarmed if this happens to you ☺️

Had my Moderna jab on Friday and very sleepy for 36 hours, arm sore. Just one of those things! If I read all the info they gave on the day it would probably be a side effect. Glad it was Moderna this time as they’ve threatened low stocks of that type.
Another sore arm due next weekend- the annual flu jab. I’m a bit late with these as I’ve been in Borneo on holiday!
In my area the hospital team gives Covid jabs in the supermarket car park and the GP does the flu jab at the medical centre. Hey Ho😊
Malaysia Airways is compulsory mask wearing on planes and in airports. I wiped down the tray with anti bac wipes and used first defence by Vicks. Hand sanitised often.
Malaysia is still with compulsory masks in public places adhered to by the locals but not the tourists. Even the outdoor pool attendant wore one!
Tested after being back a few days and clear.
Airplanes have excellent filtration systems but there is nothing wrong with you wearing a mask nowadays, it’s been the norm for the Chinese for decades!
Hi, Thanks for the info. My husband & I are due for our booster in 3 weeks time and I suspect it’ll be Moderna, so that info is good to have. He’s still on W & W. Been on it for over a year. Night sweats are the worst problem for him. I still can’t understand why they can’t get cracking with some sort of treatment. Lack of sleep is debilitating. If anyone has any ideas about dealing with these bad sweats I’d be very obliged.
Thanks for the headsup. I had the jab yesterday - my sixth! - but wasn't given any information about the jab itself or the side effects by the GP, nor any written information to take away. I don't know why I didn't ask questions at the time...that often happens when you are in the doctor's office...you are so pleased to be there getting what you need that you forget to ask questions. Anyway, I looked on my NHS app and it says that I had Spikevax. Am I right in thinking that this is the Moderna bivalent vaccination?
