I’m been on W&W for 20 months bloods are reasonably stable

Came back from holiday abroad 9 days ago after 6 days developed a cough tested negative for 3 days then last Thursday tested positive

Rang my GP and informed the NHS Covid unit had paxlovid delivered the next day by courier

Taken two doses of three tablets nasty metallic taste in mouth otherwise no side effects so far . Symptoms are cough sore throat and feeling lethargic not too bad really and I’ve had 5 jabs

Hopefully this will be as bad as it gets but the NHS are amazing we are so lucky in the uk

I just tested positive in saliva test. Had already picked up Paxlovid yesterday just in case , so could start today instead of Sunday. I held off on my Zanubrutinib but luckily results came in at 7:30 am!!! Bad chest congestion and low grade fever.

I felt lethargic and had a sore throat but my GP originally refused prescribing Paxlovid. I only got it after sending away the PCR test that the clinically vulnerable were sent in February

Can you change your gp?

It is a lot of hassle and it's not worth it unless you're moving. The GP thought that only those under treatment could get Paxlovid
