Wondering, if you are on BTK treatment and labs are normal, will you WBCs respond to an infection. Meaning, if you get an infection will your WBC increase ?

Hi David,Certainly! You've got 5 different types of white blood cells, all of which can respond to infections. Sometimes they can go down. Neutrophils are most common, but you've also got eosinophils, basophils, monocytes and lymphocytes. Within the lymphocyte count, you've got natural killer cells, helper and cytotoxic T cells, hopefully some healthy B cells and also hopefully little to no CLL lymphocytes.

Mine went up on all 3 covid infections I have had. It is normal 4 and it went to 16 ish. Not had anyonther infections.
