Removing a teeth while CLL
I was told to take 1 day before and the remainder after. Never had a problem.
I asked the dentist for antibiotics. She prescribed them and I started taking them after the extraction. No problems.
Dentist didn’t want to give me antibiotics and advised to ask GP if a problem occurred. It didn’t and glad I didn’t take antibiotics for no reason. Let’s save antibiotics until a real need.
If you aren't neutropenic, you may not need prophylactic antibiotics. It's best to have the antibiotics in your system if your immunity is low prior to your dental procedure, in order to prevent a bacterial infection becoming established beforehand.

I have a history of problems with fillings and extractions, gum inflammation too. Not neutropenic but still. And I have no idea why.
Maybe your gums just react more, to the normal flora of your mouth and their byproducts. The only problem with an extraction I had, was when the tooth not only broke in pieces upon attempt to extract after cracking, but the root parts jus didn't want to leave my mouth. No cavities or anything, it just was stubbornly stuck in there. Hours in the chair to get all the tooth fragments.
