Some members have reported CLL bone marrow infiltration into the 90+ percent range at the start of treatment. We don't usually know about our infiltration level unless it's checked as part of a clinical trial. A proxy for assessing bone marrow involvement is falling haemoglobin, platelet or neutrophil counts.

I had 95per cent infiltration. The technical term my consultant used was that my bone marrow was ‘stuffed full’ with CLL cells!

90%+ pre treatment. Have not been told of any measures since then.

I was on watch and wait for 4 years. The last 6 months were bad, horrible fatigue, extremely achy, night sweats, vertigo, and bone pain which was specifically in my upper spine area. I had a bone marrow biopsy before starting treatment and it showed CLL infiltration around 95% in my marrow. I started on Imbruvica and within 2 weeks, I felt different. You don’t realize how sick you are until you start feeling better. Don’t be afraid to start treatment; Imbruvica gave me my life back…
