Brooklyn, I wish my situation and experience with Venetoclax could help you, but with your having been treated with maybe 2 other treatments and your diagnosis seeming to be other than CLL, it is risky to say do what i have done without your getting your Drs. involved.
Actually, I am on a reduced dosage of 200mg for my CLL. When I was on the full dosage of 400mg I had a brief time of constipation rather than diarrhea.
You should be able to get something from your Dr. to control the diarrhea--and it is important that you do so, because you are in danger of being dehydrated if the diarrhea persists and is at the stage of being watery.
Please contact your Dr. Best wishes for getting this taken care of .
Brooklyn,
Venetoclax/Venclexta is supposed to be taken in one dose each day. I presume you are taking 3/4 of the full dose three times during the day in an attempt to minimise side effects? If so, did you try shifting taking the full dose to the evening? Some find that this simple strategy can work. Also, by taking them in one dose, you may have a higher likelihood of managing the diarrhoea with suitably timed medication.

I was on Venetclax from 2019-2021, 400mg daily. I've not heard of dosing as you are taking it. But I did experience frequent diarrhea while on the medication and for at least 6 months after the end of the treatment. I was able to get my doctor to prescribe a fairly potent anti-diarrhea drug for the bad days and immodium for the less problem days. I'd check with your doctor, you may need imaging to find out what the back pain issue is. Best wishes.
I used to take Venteclax. I took mine all together after dinner every night at 7 PM. I did not experience any diarrhea or back pain during the course of my treatment. If anything it stopped me up a bit. I had to eat prunes daily to not get constipated. Everyone responds to medications differently. I'd definitely get something for the diarrhea though or you could get dehydrated. Lack of water on Venteclax can be very bad for the kidneys. Drink tons of water for sure. Hope this helps.
Brooklyn,I was taking 400 mgr a day for about 7 months. The diarrhea was 3-4 times a day and my back and femurs ached for 1/2 a day. She has reduced me to 300 mgs a day and that has reduced the diarrhea to once a day. I have also had recent bouts of shortness of breath that goes away after a minute or 2.
Thanks,
Jack
