Does anybody has any abdominal pain and or digestive issues and even lower back pain related to CLL?. I started having these symptoms recently and after 6 years of w&w. Any info is appreciated

I’m on w&w I have accessional stomach pain/nausea, I also have low to mid back pain. I don’t recall having chronic back pains prior to my diagnosis in 2018.

I think back pain is caused by so many things like sneezing can set off chronic back pain.

I think my on and off stomach issues and nausea may be from diverticulosis that I know I have.

You should see a gastro Dr and let the dr look thing over.

I too have had many experiences with stomach issues while on Acalbrutinib, I found that all my troubles have been caused by Lisinopril which has bad effects with BTKs. Check if you are also on a Beta Blocker! Check side effects of Lisinopril on Mayos or other website!

Astonmartin, ditto to what Ironj suggested. Do see a gastro doctor. I did and was relieved that nothing serious was going on. I do have diverticulitis and have adjusted my eating habits. I also found out I have a hiatal hernia. I adjusted my eating habits a little more! My doctor suggested an over the counter product for my stomach discomfort and occasional nausea. As for my back pain , I go to stretch exercise twice a week. It is remarkable how my motion of movement has improved and back pain is minimized.

Continue seeking out info to better your condition. 🙂Sandra

Phil—-I don’t know if you have ever tried it? But, I had bad IBSC and diverticulitis like pain for years and my wife started on Meta Musil for her bad IBSD! It worked so well for her that I finally tried it! Both of us are 100% better and it’s cheap over the counter cure! Much much better than all the CT Scans and expensive meds that didn’t work! I am 84 and she is 83 and it’s been a real Blessing for us! We use Sams brand and it tastes like orange juice and very pleasant to drink every morning! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I have an on/off lower tummy discomfort which has been there about 4 months. I have been checked for bowel cancer, ovarian cancer. My GP checked to see if she could find signs of appendix problems but nothing there. I did have diverticulitis years ago. I notice that if I eat lots of nuts it's worse. I also make a real effort to chew my food properly.

kitchengardener2, if you must eat nuts, "chew! chew! chew!" is what my doctor says. Nuts will aggravate diverticulitis and for me, also the tough skin of an apple and even grapes. Yep, I peel grapes if I am somewhere where I really shouldn't spit out the skin after chewing. Ugh! Gross! Or I just don't choose grapes when I'm in public. 🙂Sandra

These are not necessarily related to CLL. It can be so many things. Worth a thorough checkup.

My husband was diagnosed with cll in 2016. He’s been on Calquence for a year and a half. He also had your symptoms and had to have his gallbladder removed two weeks ago after suffering serious pain and inflammation with gallstones.

I have had horrible abdominal pain and digestive issues with pain going into my back and down my legs for at least 4 years now and they have gradually gotten worse over time. I am at the point of needing to treat, but my doctors recognize I have probably had CLL for at least 10 -15 years. But the abdominal stuff didn't begin really until about 7 years ago.

Wondering if there is a relation with CLL as mine just started recently. Thanks

I'm on watch and wait since 2018. I very likely had COVID 1.0 in April 2020 and had horrific indigestion and abdominal discomfort ... I lost 10 pounds over the 6 weeks I was sick. But the digestive issues never went away and having been bothering me since. Eventually, I saw a gastro-ent who told me that there could have been a connection between my CLL and impaired immune system and all my digestion problems. I did follow up more recently with an endoscopy and I do have some gastritis and my GERD medication was upped. And I have wickedly bad allergies year round but especially in the winter which may also be linked to the CLL.
