Just heard that Acalabrutinib (Calquence) is now covered through the Exceptional Access Program (EAP) of the Ontario Ministry of Health. The drug is provided free of charge if you qualify under the Ontario Drug Benefit Program (ODB). You qualify if you meet one of the following: 65 or over, under 25, live in a long-term care home, enrolled in the Home Care Program, have high drug costs relative to your income and enrolled in the Trillium Drug Program or are the recipient of certain social assistance programs.

This may be good news for those in Ontario who are still in w & w or those who are on other BTK inhibitors with undesirable side effects.

That's great news Vizilo - thanks for sharing. I live in Ontario and at 62 I have been on the EAP and Imbruvica for almost 2 years. Fortunately the side effects have have been nominal and I feel great 90% of the time. Good to know an alternative is available though.
