Any idea's

Hi All, my bloods were done three weeks ago, prior to seeing my Haemo Man, for the first face to face, in 20 months or so. It went well and I was told that things were moving at the pace he expected, and that he was not concerned

A few days later, my Physio noticed a largish lump under my armpit. I had been Boosted a few weeks earlier.

I went back to see my Haemo, he gave me another good feel, and thought that it may have indeed been the booster jab. He wanted to see me again, (Tonight) for another chekup. My query is this:

Three weeks ago my bloods showed my WBC 38.8, Since diagnosis it has gone up steadily, in increments, from 12, to 19, to 28, and on the 03/11/21 it was 38.

Bloods taken three weeks later, on 23/11/21 show my WBC back down to 19.

It also showed my Platelets, which have been normal 180, now low, at 132.

Also my RBC which had been low, on 03/11/21 at 180, now normal at 132.

Three weeks ago my RBC was 4.46 low, and is now normal at 4.61.

My understanding is that it is normal for our figures to go up and down. Has anyone had similar experiences.?

All the best Ron.

Hi Ron,

Provided your platelets don't continue trending down, your blood counts don't appear to be a concern. Platelet counts can bounce around a fair bit and yours are still at a very safe level, just below the lower reference limit of typically150.

I presume you meant to delete "Also my RBC which had been low, on 03/11/21 at 180, now normal at 132."? You can edit your posts and replies via the 'More v'... 'Edit' option.

Per: healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo... track your lymphocyte count, not your total WBC, to see what temporarily changed. Reassuringly, it's returned to an earlier value. Infection wise, it's important to know if your neutrophil count is adequate.

Your RBC count variation is negligible. What's important is that your haemoglobin count is stable and well above 100.

Thanks AussieNeil, your information was easier to understand than my Haemo's, I feel a bit better informed, and perhaps relieved. I will keep an eye on my platlets, neutrophil count, and lymphocyte's, more so than hitherto. Rqegards Ron
