National COVID Cancer Survey UK- Second Result

Hi. Just an update on a previous entry. I had a negative result after doing a COVID test with the survey. Has it had only been 17 days after the 3rd jab I was allowed to have another go. I repeated the test after 6 weeks and unfortunately got the same negative result. Just hope the other cells will kick in if I should get COVID.

Dear Strech, Did you mean that you did a Covid test or an antibody test? If a Covid test, a negative result is good.

I just got a result from my NHS antibody test taken 2 1/2 weeks after my third vaccine. It says that I have tested positive for antibodies, but of course doesn't say how many. Still good to know. I am only W and W, however so I guess am more likely to have antibodies.

Hi Jeea. It was an antibody test.

How frustrating after two antibody tests that they result is still negative. Yes --certainly hope T cells will kick in should you get Covid. Am sure that you are still being careful--wearing masks and situations which might spread Covid.

I went to hear a live quintet in a church yesterday. We were distanced and wore masks--but noticed part way through that they had neglected to open the windows and had closed the doors at the back. I mentioned it at the intermission--and they opened them. So many don't think these precautions through. The music was wonderful; Covid would not be!

Hi Strech51, sorry to hear you have tested negative for antibodies. Are you or have you been on treatment prior to having vaccine? Hopefully T-Cells will kick in if needed. I took the antibody test on Monday and got a positive result on Friday.. I'm not expecting them to be many or robust but I'm grateful to have some. I will still be taking the same precautions I've been taking for the last 20 months. Stay Safe x
