Do you have more energy after treatment?

I'm just wondering. If I have a course of novel agents eg v and I, will I have more energy a few months after finishing it?

Hi Research123,

-

That's been my experience with all 6 rounds of treatment. For me, treatment was triggered by debilitating fatigue, that usually went away soon after starting. see my profile: healthunlocked.com/user/lan...

-

However, like everything else about this heterogeneous disease, some patients don't see significant improvements for many months or ever. So Your Mileage May Vary.

Unfortunately that is not guaranteed. I had severe fatigue after being treated with Zanubrutinib that only lifted partially after a couple of years. Now I’m on Venetoclax and am no better. I was disappointed since I had great hopes for a more energetic life but that’s not the way it has happened for me. Still very grateful for the treatment though.

My thought was more perhaps a few months after the treatment when your immune system has a chance to recover you might feel more energetic? Hope so anyway for you

Research123,

Before treatment, I could not walk 3/4 of a mile. I spent at least 5 hours of the regular daytime exhausted sitting in a chair. After the 3rd obinutuzumab infusion, I was able to ride my bike 15 - 20 miles daily. After the 5th infusion, I was up to 20 - 30 miles.

Although as Len stated "Your Mileage May Vary".

Had six cycles of obinutuzumab and one year on venetoclax. It's definitely made a difference in my energy level to the positive. Just wanted to encourage you that it is certainly a possibility.
