I start acalabrutinib next week. I have been on wait and watch 10 years.

2 months ago I developed a large firm and smooth swelling on my jaw.

For me acalabrutinib was a very good drug. No real side effects and it worked - although when I look back at my actual numbers the improvement in my blood counts was over many months. My large nodes diminished very quickly.

Drink plenty of water. Try a bit of extra caffeine if you get headaches. Some people get late night headaches and small amounts of caffeine late in the day seem to help.

I had very few problems with Acalabrutinib. Occasional slight headache. Some mild bruising which is gone now. I drink lots of water 2-3 liters and two large mugs of coffee every day.

Hi,I was diagnosed stage 4 1 year ago, went straight to 6 cycles of O plus daily Ibrutinib. Switched to acalabrutinib at cycle 9. No side effects except occasionally knee swelling but nothing else. Was in remission 240 days after my stage 4 diagnosis with 100% infiltration.... so the drugs are great.

benchica, I'm in W&W, just 3 years. I read about all the treatments and acalabrutinib has been favored the most as I continue to keep up with the great research going on. I send you my best wishes for a comfortable experience in treatment and fantastic results for you. God bless you. 🙂Sandra
