I had a scare w/ mammo and imaging, but thank goodness lymph nodes and CLL related, and not a 2nd kind of cancer. Nothing that I can feel, just in the tissue. Have any of you had a similar situation?

When having my annual breast imaging I always have to remind the doctors that I have CLL. Although on ibrutinib for 6 years my lymph nodes still show up on the scans. Gardening Sister, I love your avatar!

Yes, that sounds like me too. Such a difficult call - should I get it checked or am I just worrying unnecessarily and it's my lymph nodes, like it has been a few times before? In normal times I would just go to my GP for some reassurance, but they are all so busy that I have put it off for months now. 🤔

I was called back after my last mammogram for further investigations, despite having told them I was a CLL patient. The doctor at the centre I was sent said yes, it was the CLL and not to worry.I couldn’t feel anything, either.

Yes, I was recalled, very scary. I've had two lots of needle biopsies, the first turned out to be calcium deposits and I get the results from the second next week. They were tiny and couldn't be felt. X

Yes just adding to the other replies I had 8cm axillary lymph nodes showing up on Mammograms, followed on one occasion by an Ultrasound. Not readily palpable and they've apparently since gone.

Yes. Every year I get a mammogram and a breast ultrasound and lymph nodes are very visible. They are able to compare my exams to the previous years and always tell me that I have nothing to worry about. It has been many years and they are familiar with my CLL at this point.

My CLL diagnosis came about through a breast biopsy in 1997 that turned out to be an enlarged lymph node. At first it was labeled Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma...then CLL after a bone marrow biopsy.

Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2020...invasive lobular carcinoma. I go in Friday for my first mammogram post surgery/radiation.

Yes, when I was on watch and wait my mammogram showed a swollen node and required further investigation. I told the radiologist that I had CLL and that made sense to him as a cause, as the node didn’t have any alarming qualities on ultrasound. The node would appear on each mammogram until I began treatment, and now is gone.
