Having joined the AF and recently the CLL band of warriors, can anyone recommend a sensible travel insurance company, as we want to continue our lover of travel whilst we are able. Many thanks

We have just used Saga, not many insure me as i have SLL, IPF and aorta valve replacement, plus asthma and diabetes 😊we went to greek islands for a month, just returned. We have booked another break in November so will use them again, not cheap but with so many underlying health conditions am grateful one will do it.

My husband managed to get annual worldwide cover with Avanti. We took it out about 11 months ago and they were willing to cover his CLL (he’s on W&W) and squamous cell skin cancer. Managed to get a few quotes and Avanti were the cheapest by a long way.

I got an annual policy with Avanti last week. I started to apply online, but couldn't complete the medical declaration so had to telephone them. I was dreading the call as I'm very newly diagnosed, however the chap was great, very straightforward. 😀

If you are in UK and if you, your partner or someone of either set of parents were in the services the Service Pensions people do travel insurance no questions asked. The only criteria is they won't cover you if you travel against medical advice.. Its not cheap though as you might imagine

USAA Travel. I have used them for 30 years. Be sure to get the insurance that you can cancel for any reason and you will get 75% of your money back no questions asked. If you go for a 100 percent you have to get the doctor to validate if it is for medical reasons and fill out forms. I found it easier to do 75% and no proof is required.Gary
