Hope this helps.

The first time I needed to stop Calquence, after six days I didn't get explicit dizziness as such, but I did get a phase of feeling dreadful for a short time (I think I will include dizziness in that after all) - it drifted away after a few hours.

The second time I had to stop (for another minor op, and stopping for a week before and a week after) there were no ill effects of stopping this time. But a couple of days after restarting, a bout of gout flared up, despite never stopping the daily preventive Allopurinol. My consultant conceded that it was possible the restarting and the flareup were connected, but also that it could be a coincidence. So, somewhat inconclusive.

I suppose it all depends upon where your side-effect tendencies lie.

Doc has raised my daily Allopurinol dose as a result.

Thank you for letting me know about your experience in stopping Calquence. I think the 3-day extreme dizziness episode was just a side effect of taking the med. I had been on it one month before this event. My MD took me off the med and I will be re-evaluated this Friday.

I had to stop twice for dental procedures. After 3 days off Acalabrutinib I had flu like symptoms for a couple of days and then was fine. No issues restarting the treatment.

Thank you for letting me know of your experience. I think the drug was too powerful for me. On Friday my MD will re-evaluate me and perhaps try a reduced dosage. The BIG question is whether a reduced level will still tackle the CLL in my eyelids.

I was on calquence for around 3 months. My dosage was reduced after about two months and then stopped all together due to side effects. I did not experience dizziness.
