Hubby positive for COVID. Will get Regeneron today.

I tested positive for COVID early this week (probably had it 3-4 days earlier). My husband has CLL, is just off Venclexta which he took for 3 years. Currently in remission. He has had 2 Pfizer vaccines AND the booster. So far he is in pretty good shape (oxygen levels are strong, not short of breath etc.). Both his GP and oncologist recommended that he have the Regeneron monoclonal antibodies infusion. He is scheduled for this today within the hour. Will keep you all updated.

Good luck, hopefully the antibodies will do their job and keep him safe X

Not much more anyone can do but pray. How is your recovery?

This is great news!!! Just what I've been waiting for. Like me, I have CLL, still taking Venclexta, had all three Covid shots, and have been waiting to see somebody post that they contracted Covid, has mild symptoms, and will receive monoclonal infusion follow-up!!! You have made my day!! Thank you for posting this!!! PS: I do have one question. I've never heard of anyone being on Venclexta more than a year. Why was your hubby on a THREE year program, if I may ask.

First of all, hubby is doing great as far as COVID 19. The day after the Regeneron there was a significant improvement. No cough today, no congestion. One would never know he had COVID. As far as your question about 3 years on Venclexta - Dennis (Hubby) has a harder to treat CLL (P17 deletion I believe), his oncologist felt since he had responded so well to the Venclexta he should stay on it longer. He has now been off Venclexta for a couple of months due to some other health issues (possible Parkinson's.) Hopefully still great numbers when he goes in for his next visit in a couple of months.

Thanks for sharing the info. I assume and hope that the regeneron treatment will take care of the COVID infection. Did your hubby test for COVID antibodies after the Pfizer booster ?

No, we did not test for antibodies after the Pfizer booster. It has only been 3 weeks since he got that.
