My husband received a letter from his immunologist with an attachment from the above. In general, it was about keeping safe. But one quote caught my eye. We also know that immunoglobulin do not currently contain any protective COVID-19 antibodies. I just thought this would be useful information.

I assume you are referring to the current batches of IVIG not having a significant amount of IgG specific to SARS COV-2 to prevent COVID-19 infections.

We have had several past discsussions where CLL Experts like Dr. Furman say that the processing of IVIG takes up to one year, and that over the next year as more people that have had the virus or vaccines for COVID-19 contribute blood for processing, then the COVID-19 specific antibodies will increase in IVIG.

Also, there are manmade antibodies in clinical trials as a prophylactic (preventive) for COVID-19 intended for those of us that do not generate antibodies from vaccines.
With the result that currently, over 80% of the US population is thought to be seropositive, either by vaccination or infection, for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies.
And yet US Covid deaths continue to rise. Dr. Fauci says coronavirus infections are more than ten times higher than they need to be in order to end the pandemic. There are currently roughly 150,000 new infections a day in the United States. “That’s not even modestly good control." He added, “In a country of our size, you can’t be hanging around and having 100,000 infections a day. You’ve got to get well below 10,000 before you start feeling comfortable.”nytimes.com/2021/09/09/heal...
Graph of US Covid death rate: 2,106 deaths on Sept 10, 2021
I don't know where that figure comes from as I've heard nothing so encouraging here in US --- and I'm not seeing positive results that would expect if that were so. We are having a tremendous new wave, as bad or worse in many areas as ever before. As you may know, we have entire states of ignoramuses where the majority refuses vaccines because -- freedom!
Immunoglobin Infusions or IVIG have not historically contained Covid Antibodies. When we get blood tested every six months, as we are followed, you see a test that reports our IgG, IgA, and IgM levels. These are the different Immunoglobin antibodies.
Recently I started with an Immunologist, because my three Vaccine shots have each produced 0 Antibodies for Covid. One of the things she mentioned to me a month ago, is that "They" are working on adding Covid Antibodies to IVIG, and she said: "It will be a Game Changer".
