For most of us it takes 6 to 12 months to calm our emotional panic and fully embrace that like aging or high blood pressure, CLL will not kill us today. And if we adjust our sanitation habits, eat healthy, maintain our weight, exercise regularily, we may live a normal life span thanks to new treatments only available in the last 5-10 years.

Sitting down is probably the worse thing you can do! Get outside and exercise as much as you can. It's the lifesaver.
I see from your profile that your blood count rose a lot since you were diagnosed. From what I learned on this site is that vitamin c can be detrimental and make the progression faster. You need to rethink those intravenous vitamin c infusions. You don't mention what other supplements you take. Supplementation with this blood disorder is a minefield. Tread carefully.
You’re are definitely in the right place. I’m in W&W. Doctors figured I’ve had this for 3 years. My WBC climbed from 24,000 to now 72,000. It has slowed down its climb somewhat at this time. That relaxes me, but I’ve learned through this site, that research is moving at tremendous strides. I’m 72 years old and staying in healthy habits of diet(Uhh, I do love my coffee and chocolate!) and daily activities for my mind and body. I feel good and thank God every day! Sandra🙂
LadyWingshot,
Please be comfortable with any specific questions that you may have. I encourage you to pursue life's substance enthusiastically and joyously while learning and growing in your personal pursuit to manage this chronic illness. There is a lot of good information and treatments available, however, it is easy to get saturated. Pace yourself appropriate to your life.
Having a CLL specialist to guide you, is in my view a paramount priority.

Hi. Welcome to the family, Ask questions, update us with your progress or just have a rant. We are here to support you.
LadyW, welcome. Here the consensus view is to get a CLL specialist on board ASAP. I had a hematologist from day one, and a naturopath, but I always deferred to the former. It's important they know what supplements you're taking.
