florida has opened 15 monoclonal antibody treatment centers; each apparently has the capacity to treat 300 COVID-positive individuals per day. People can receive treatment without a prescription or physician referral. This means that people who are in the early stages of COVID have access to treatment without delay. This is a very important treatment option for those CLLers that did not respond to the vaccine.

In other areas, please call your hemo/onco, and find out where to go to get monoclonals if you get infected.
It's vital to get the monoclonals as early as possible after you test positive. Once you're in the hospital with severe symptoms, it may be too late. Many cancer infusion centers are setting up monoclonal infusions for their patients.
Hey Brother,
With regard to prophylaxis use of monoclonals for prevention-covid-19 see this link fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-a...
July 30, 2021
FDA authorizes REGEN-COV monoclonal antibody therapy for post-exposure prophylaxis (prevention) for COVID-19
REGEN-COV may only be used as post-exposure prophylaxis for adults and pediatric individuals (12 years of age and older weighing at least 40 kg) who are:
• at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19, including hospitalization or death, and
• not fully vaccinated or who are not expected to mount an adequate immune response to complete SARS-CoV-2 vaccination (for example, people with immunocompromising conditions, including those taking immunosuppressive medications), and
o have been exposed to an individual infected with SARS-CoV-2 consistent with close contact criteria per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), or
- who are at high risk of exposure to an individual infected with SARS-CoV-2 because of occurrence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in other individuals in the same institutional setting (for example, nursing homes or prisons)
Florida needs these centers because of the low vaccination rate, DeSantis' no-mask policy, and its populations aversion to sensible ways to reduce covid-19 infections.
wmay13241 your final alarmist comment has been removed by Admin.
Your comments - and in this case your opinion - should not be political. Not sure what you hope to accomplish with your statement.
Except for my personal recommendation to avoid Florida, everything I said in my post was based on FACT.
You are connecting a lot of dots to create your own FACT. This is not the forum for misinformation.
I see you are a Floridian. I have stayed in Pompano Beach in the past. A nice place for sure. You are correct that politics shouldn’t be discussed here so I won’t but what is happening in Florida is concerning on many levels. Unfortunately, given my health condition I won’t visit anytime soon. I think wmay’s advice to avoid Florida is unfortunately accurate. I wouldn’t want to get Covid and be in need of care in Florida right now. Let’s leave it there. Be careful and stay safe.

Now this is real business. All the conspiracies about the Pharma companies making billions on the vaccines make no sense. Vaccines cost peanuts. Monoclonals around $2,000 each.
It was the Governor who made it political
