Read my last post about 2 hrs ago. It's a very tough choice.

Hi Grandmajoanie,-

The indications are overwhelmingly that the side effects of vaccination are far less serious than the side effects of COVID-19, and very few to no people have died from the vaccination, but millions have died and are still dieing dailly. Almost every day we see videos of people that avoided the vaccines and regreted it when they got infected. Please don't take the risk - get the booster shot.

Thank you,I’m all for vaccines but this second one enlarged my underarm lymph node to the size of a lemon, and my arm had a very large spread of a red rash.I’m wondering , do I have any immunity? I’m watch and wait since 2015

No treatment. My next visit is in three weeks and of course I’ll ask.

Thanks again.

Did your swollen node subsequently shrink and the rash go away?

Yes it took two or three weeks

Dear Grandmajoanie, I think you should check the presence and the number of antibodies. I 'm also on watch and wait (from 2018), but I still haven't taken any vaccination at all. Last time my hematologist told me that he coludn't guarantee that the vaccination wouldn't make harm to my immune system, not so hard , as the Covid could, but he couldn't give me any guarantee. Best wishes!!

Of course he could not. Not even to healthy people they can give guarantees. Not to mention CLL patients. It's always the patient who has to make the call, weighing the risks. Just make very sure you do not catch covid.

Hi Grandmajoanie,-

Unfortunately nothing in your post or questions can indicate whether you have any immunity.

There is a test at LabCorp and Quest that can test whether your immune system reacts to the spike protein, but no one knows what level on that test indicates full immunity.

Hey Grandma

I would call your CLL Specialist's office and run that one by he or she; however, it appears that the general consensus is to take the third shot. Top CLL Specialists have advised this, as have Immunologists; however, it it were me I'd ask my personal CLL doctor anyway.

What about your ALC count? Did it go up after the vaccines? Did it come back down later?
