Hi 40fo,-

My answer to a similar post yesterday might be useful (spoiler alert- I got increased rashes from all 4 of the new targeted treatments I received- Ibrutinib was the worst for me, but Venetoclax is causing a rash now) :

Hi, I’ve been on a 50% dose of Venetoclax since November 2018 and am constantly itchy. A year ago I developed full-blown Grover’s disease which was a super itch plus rash. Im told this might return every winter.

No notable rash 40fo,

However, super itches and more so at night when lying down in bed. Less intense when consistent adequate hydration.

Hi 40fo. I think you also mentioned a rash several months ago after you stopped ibrutinib and I think you were also receiving IVIG. So maybe whatever is causing intermittent rashes started before venetoclax?

Are you still receiving the IVIG? Could that be the rash issue rather than venetoclax? Venetoclax can definitely cause skin issues but with your recent history might be hard to figure out what is causing the problem.

I did have skin issues (significant peeling) when I ramped up on venetoclax but it looks like another med I was taking was actually the issue. The good news is that the skin issue subsided after about 6 weeks.

I would take pics of the rash and send it to your hemo/oncologist and also visit a dermatologist and let them know all the meds you are on and your rash history.

You are so right! I did post about rash before! I was on ibrutinib for over 3 years and suddenly it turned toxic on me. Nearly kill me actually, but after going off, blood work showed I was in remission from CLL. But after 6 months off of it I developed a horrible itching rash. After many wrong diagnosis’s from Dermatologists my oncologist suspected something so he sent me for ct scan and biopsy which showed I now have Lymphoma!! So leukemia still in check but I’m now on a year treatment ofVenetoclax along with Obinutuzumab infusions for 6 months. Everything was fine until I started on full dose of Venetoclax. The itchy rash I had before was from Lymphoma and is mostly gone since started this treatment but now have a pink rash on legs but no itching. Oncologist took me off of pills for a week just to see if it’s from the meds. Thanks for caring and trying to find a solution!

Yes! I was fine up until the 400,mg. 2 weeks into it, and i have developed this rash. The doctor is taking me off it for one week, and then we'll try again.
