Interesting. Though it makes sense I would still not sit down with strangers at a table even outside.
I have no studies to go by, but I have gone outdoors without a mask since the start of the Pandemic. I do wear a mask when going into public places, as they have been required by most if not all stores, restaurants, hotels, and almost every public building.
So far so good, and now I've seen headlines that Dr Fauci is saying we don't need masks outdoors anymore.
Overall I've believed in the safety outdoors since the beginning, and I have no scientific study to back it up. Now they are even saying that it is highly unlikely that it will be transmitted from surfaces. When i remember I have used hand sanitizers when going in and out of doors in public buildings and when touching things in elevators. I doubt the complete safety from surfaces, but yes I think the likelihood of transmission when outdoors is slim to none.
