I’ve been diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia. My hemoglobin is 10.6 and ferritin is 20. I am currently on acalabrutnib.

You need some extra iron for sure. But you need to double check you are not losing blood... say in urine or bowel.

This is stuff your GP or Family Dr would sort out for you!.

Important to address, as I learnt myself a while ago.

Do take advice from your medical advisors.

I was anemic fir several years and had an endoscopy and colonoscopy to find any bleeding. The tests were fine. When I changed primary care dr this year, she was suspicious of some of the blood test results and the fact that my anemia was stable but persistent. Another round of tests showed I have waldenstrom. I’ve taken vitamin C and iron pills for years and continue to do so.
