B and R Treatment

Anyone in the community experiencing a tickling cough as a result of taking Bentamustine and Rituxin. I just started this protocol and would appreciate any feed back on this treatment, Thank you, Lee

It’s been 4 years since I had B+R and I don’t recall anything like that. The only side effect that I recall was red wine tasting a little funky and as I neared the end of my 6 treatments I needed to knock off work early and come for a nap. I don’t have allergies normally but have had an occasional tickling cough recently, maybe tree pollen?

I finished 6 treatments of B&R have any in June of 2020. During my first treatment I had a reaction ( a lot of shaking and extreme chills) they stopped the treatment for a couple of hours, gave some medication and then finished. It was a long 8 hour session. I then put on 11 pounds in 5 days (retained water) but then it went away in about a week. I also experienced some constipation and night sweats during the process. With each treatment it was easier. I also had to go to the emergency room twice because of high fever (104F). It wasn't as bad as it sounds, after my Oncologist said I was in remission. I am now on a 2 year program of just Rby injection every 12 weeks. Hoped this helped and If any other questions please ask. I kept

a diary during treatment, I thought it helped.

My tickling cough turned into pneumonia. It began around the fourth infusion of BR and slowly got worse and put me in the hospital for 2 weeks following fifth infusion. Keep an eye on it.

yes my partner who had 1 session of B & R and had to discontinue started having a dry cough also . It went on for about two months. His doctor and nurse said “ never heard of anyone getting that cough. “ All it took for me to know they were not telling the truth was a search on the internet. came up with many people describing their same cough after B & R treatment for different cancers.

I don't recall having a tickling cough from B+R. Do you feel you are have greater sinus drainage?

I'm in Florida and the pollen count is kicking, never had a cough...5 days after BR treatment started coughing...

I have had two treatments of B and R, the third is set for in about 10 days, I would say after my first treatment I had a tickling cough, but minor, the cough is not much there now.

Hi Lee. I had four cycles of B + R in 2017. I don't recall having a cough. I posted weekly on this forum during that time, Please feel free to browse. Bear in mind that this was my personal experience and people have different experiences. Best wishes.
